Grievance Policy
The OncoLink Oncology Social Work Learning Academy (OOSWLA) is committed to maintaining a learning environment that is ethical, inclusive, free of discrimination, and responsive to communicated concerns. OOSWLA will comply with legal and ethical responsibilities in applicable areas including:
- Promotional activities
- Program content
- The treatment of program participants
- Accessibility of learning activities
The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards is the direct responsibility of the Director of Continuing Education and the Social Work Consultant. This Grievance Policy is made available when enrolling in OOSWLA and upon request by participants.
If you have a grievance, please notify the Director of Continuing Education by email [email protected], as soon as possible. Communication in an alternative format will be accommodated as needed. The Director will make every effort to address and resolve the issue promptly. If the matter cannot be resolved by the Director, the grievance will be referred to the Social Work Consultant within one week. The grievance may be escalated to other program leadership as needed.
Grievances may include, but are not limited to:
- Concerns about specific courses, content, speakers, or facilities
- Non-receipt of certificates
- Issues regarding program cost or value, including refund requests
- Perceived bias, discrimination, or harassment
- Other miscellaneous occurrences
- Concerns regarding accessibility accommodations
The confidentiality and privacy of the complainant will be maintained to the extent feasible.
A resolution plan will be developed by the Director of Continuing Education and/or the Social Work Consultant. This plan will be communicated directly to the complainant. OOSWLA will maintain grievance reports and a record of actions taken to address the grievance.
We are committed to continuous improvement and welcome feedback to provide an equitable and respectful educational experience for all participants.
